Queen's Day Soccer

The friendship football tournament of the year – brought to you by the Vientiane Dutch community! 

 For those who have attended this annual event, you will already know that the emphasis of this tournament is on fun and friendship.  A not to be missed sporting event for anyone who likes a kick or just likes a good family day out

The tournament will once again be held on VIS’s excellent facilities (they have grass and everything!).  To get there drive along Kuvieng and onto Sokpaluang Road.  It’s the first on the left and is well signposted.

This year the rules stipulate that at least 2 girls must be on the field at any one time which is a great idea – making the tournament more inclusive.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to register your team (7-a-side so squads of 9/10 are recommended).  If you don’t have a team but want to play then feel free to contact us here at ACV and we’ll put you in touch with some other teams.  If you don’t fancy playing, but still want to be involved with this great day then just head down to VIS and support the other teams (or even better – volunteer yourself as an ACV photographer/journalist)

We cannot emphasise enough how much of a great social day out this is!  And this year there is an official after party at Kong View from 8pm.  Beer tastes a whole better after a hard days sport!
