Welcome to Vientaine School's pages on ACVientiane.  Here we will keep you updated on the latest news from the school's of Vientiane.  We encourage schools to use this section to post news or articles or to showcase students work. 

Now, Kiettisack International School has some of the brightest, sharpest students in Laos, and ACVientiane is honoured to have volunteers from the Kiettisack Community Development Program helping out with ACVientiane.com content.  The volunteers work tirelessly and with enthusiasm to bring the Vientiane community exclusive articles on everything from Hip Hop to Lam Vong, auspicious calendars to valentines parties!  Keep checking back here to see what the Kiettisack Volunteers are up to.

1 Vision 1 Purpose

As a teenager, our thinking is of a different way from our parents, including our perspectives.  Our ‘teenage dreams’ were recently supported by Fang Meh Khong who organized a B-boy battle on the 26th of January.  As far as we know, ”B” stands for breakdance, a type of dance that is totally unique which has its roots in African dance  and came to prominence with the  hip-hop culture. Now it is acknowledged as a world class dancing style that requires strength, flexibility and creativity – just like life as a teenager!

On January 26th, 2010 a B-Boy battle was held at the cultural hall in Vientiane, Laos, if you missed the battle, you could catch it on the Lao Star channel. The event was coordinated by the organization Fang Mae Khong (listen to the Mekong River).
